Discover the architectual treasures of Azpeitia and the Basque sport

Discover San Sebastian invites you to take a short walk full of surprises and incredible stories commented by a local guide visiting the architectural legacy of Azpeitia.

During the tour we will visit the Old Town of Azpeitia, the Church of San Sebastian de Soreasu, the Town Hall, a new market concept based on local products of Km 0, as well as tasting the famous «ignacianos» cakes.

Once we taste the sweets, we will go to the heart of Azpeitia: The Shrine and the Basilica of Loyola, built in the XVIII century and possibly the best expression of baroque style in the area.

With Discover San Sebastian we invite you to know Basque ball (the local sport) from the perspective of art and sport with our guide, who will teach you and explain the frontons of Oteiza (where the game is played). There you will meet a former pelotari (player) who will teach you all the tricks, plays and materials that are used in this noble sport of hand ball.
