Walking Tour Biarritz and San Juan de Luz

We will start our tour at one of the best beach resorts of the Basque Coast. Biarritz it’s a posh town popular with both tourists and surfers. It all started when Empress Eugenie (wife of Napoleon III) built a palace on the main beach. Come and learn with us this captivating story and how royals from all around Europe started to spend their summer holidays in this seaside town. We will talk about the market, Our Lady of the Rocks, the Casino, Pointe Saint-Martin lighthouse and many more places during our tour.

We will then go to San Juan de Luz and walk around it’s charming city center while learning about its corsairs’ origins and how the city played a key role to end the Spanish-French war. We will also visit Saint John Baptist church and Louis XIV square and will stroll around the bay area all the time enjoying the beautiful scenery.
