Walking Tour Hondarribia & San Juan de Luz

Discover two charming towns connected by history: one French and one Spanish

We will start our tour in the Basque city of Hondarribia and walk it’s old town and fisherman’s neighborhood, visiting the most important places like Our Lady of the Apple Tree church, Carlos V castle, it’s historical renaissance buildings and the defensive walls that protected it’s citizens for centuries, while learning the history and enchanting anecdotes only known by locals.

Then we will cross the French border and head to the French city of San Juan de Luz and walk around it while learning the history of this charming town and its corsairs’ origins and visit Saint John Baptist church and Louis XIV square. The bay, it’s old town and beautiful views will be the backdrop of a story so intertwine with the Spanish one that you’ll be eager to know how it ends!
